The Ordinary is a skincare brand focused on simplicity, community-driven education, and putting product efficacy first. Your clinical routine builder! The current dropper bottles cause spillage during application, and bulky multi-serum routines are inconvenient for daily use and travel. In this project we redesign the packaging to eliminate mess while maintaining The Ordinary's clinical minimalism and creating a portable, stackable system.

Listening
The Ordinary's dropper packaging is an industry staple in skincare. This project redesigns its packaging into an ergonomic, travel-friendly, and modular daily-use solution. The visual language stays true to the brand's clinical minimalism through smooth textures, clean typography, and an interactive system that lets the product speak for itself.

Packaging Design
Building
Sketching the ergonomic form with inspiration drawn from science labs, test tubes, and pill capsules, the design took shape. Before moving to 3D printing, different media like clay, foam core, paper, and acrylic were used to mock up and decode the right size and form. Being my first physical packaging project, this was a learning curve in the truest sense. From there, the design was 3D printed, and usability agents were introduced to evaluate real-world handling, ensuring the solution was as functional as it was considered.
